Spring is finally here!!!
Due to Creighton University’s upcoming Easter Break, the April 20, 2019 HCOP Program Session #6 has been rescheduled with an exciting twist:
The Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) staff and participants will be attending the Center for Promoting Health and Health Equity (CPHHE) 2019 Addressing Health Disparities Seminar: Focus on Mental Health
WHEN: Saturday, April 27, 2019
WHERE: Creighton University (Hixson-Lied Science Building – Auditorium G-04, 2555 Burt Street, Omaha, NE 68178)
TIME: 8:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. (mandatory) 11:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. (optional)
DETAILS: This seminar is designed to increase knowledge, skills, and ability of academia, health professionals and community members to address health disparities regarding mental health related issues. This includes issues regarding access to mental health services, recognizing signs and symptoms of mental illness, reducing stigma around the topic of mental health, and advocacy and support for mental health professionals and patients.

NOTE: HCOP participants are ONLY required to be present during the timeframe of 8:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. but please feel free to remain in attendance for the entire duration of the seminar if you choose to do so.
