Testing, Testing!

Like it or not, taking exams is a part of life for students who are pursuing a career in healthcare. For high schoolers, the most important exams - when it comes to taking that next step into college - are the ACT and SAT. All qualifying high school participants have been provided with self-paced Kaplan test prep software and question banks through HCOP, which has proven fundamental in studying for the ACT or SAT. To top it off, HCOP provides proctored practice testing dates in order to give students ample experience taking the exam.

When it comes to test taking, practice makes perfect. One of the best ways for students to improve their score is by taking practice tests in “exam conditions” (i.e. in a quiet space, with no extra breaks or distractions). On Saturday, January 8th, eligible HCOP high school participants were given the opportunity to take either the mock ACT or SAT, depending on the exam the student was preparing for. Students were proctored virtually by Christina Jelinek, HCOP Academic Success Counselor, and stayed on-camera while taking their test.

As winter rolls into spring, and testing dates draw closer, HCOP will be with students to help them prepare for success on test day!
