On May 18th, 2019, HCOP Ambassador Program High School participants had the opportunity to visit Metropolitan Community College’s South Campus. Students were able to tour the campus and see the various programs available at Metropolitan Community College (MCC). Admissions representatives from MCC presented to students on all the programs MCC has to offer, admissions details and benefits of taking courses at the college. Back at Creighton University, HCOP Undergraduate and Health Professional students participated in a year-end discussion of study skills. Students discussed with one another best practices for time management and study skills, along with the health professional students providing great insight into how their study habits had to change when they entered health professional school. In preparation for next session’s QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training, HCOP also showed the documentary “The S Word”, an insightful documentary which explores the stories of individuals who attempted suicide, and their journey to a healthier life.
